At The Hive Taproom, our mission is to lift spirits—literally and figuratively.

We believe a great drink should make you feel good, not worse. That’s why we created Swaggle: a clean, naturally energizing adult beverage made from raw honey. Gluten-free, low in sulfites, and brewed without added sugars or artificial junk—Swaggle delivers a better buzz that supports your health and your lifestyle.

But we care about more than just what’s in the can. Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do—from practicing responsible beekeeping to reducing water use in brewing, to cultivating 3.5 acres (and growing!) of pollinator habitat.

Swaggle is a natural extension of our vision at The Hive Taproom: to craft inventive libations that bring people together—and do right by the planet.

The Hive is truly a family-run business. Ayla is our beekeeper, tending the bees that make the magic. Tim is our brewer, constantly perfecting recipes with an engineer’s precision. And the whole family pitches in to make the taproom feel like home.

After discovering session mead on a family trip to California, Tim and Ayla spent months experimenting in their basement before opening The Hive Taproom in July 2018. Their goal? To create a welcoming, screen-free space where face-to-face connection comes first—and generations can gather over drinks that feel as good as they taste.
